Rubelli Venezia 2010

Rubelli, a luxury Italian family firm who produce and sell top-end furnishing fabrics, will sponsor the ‘Les Collections Exclusives’ fashion show, the live runway show which will take place twice a day at INDEX textiles.

INDEX textiles, the stand-alone event as part of this year’s INDEX exhibition, will be a colourful celebration of the creative home textiles industry.

“We have always been proud to use INDEX as a platform to showcase Rubelli’s exclusive collections of furnishing fabrics, wall coverings and Donghia’s timeless furniture,” said Mark Verrall,  managing director, Rubelli Sahco Studio Dubai.

“Now that INDEX has made a considerable effort to rebrand itself with ‘Les Collections Exclusives’, we are more excited to return to the show and sponsor this unique and prestigious fashion show where the designers and end consumers can appreciate textiles in a new light,” he added.

‘Les Collections Exclusives’ is a bespoke event created for and featuring the premium end of the home textiles market. Each of the sponsoring brands which include: Rubelli, Nobilis and Maison D’art, are having garments created from their textiles by local fashion talent organised by INDEX. This collection is to be modeled live at INDEX textiles, twice a day during the exhibition.

Rubelli has worked on international projects, including the Bolshoi theatre in Moscow, the historical Palazzo Reale in Milan, and the world’s tallest building, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.

“Rubelli bring over 150 years of heritage and expertise in textiles, and have four distinct brands in their group including Rubelli Venezia and the beautiful Armani/Casa exclusive textile. Their stunning collections include luxury fabrics such as damask, velvet, brocade, and silk. All of this made Rubelli a clear partner choice for me on this venture, and so I am delighted they have confirmed their participation,” said Rebecca Lockwood, project manager, INDEX textiles.

International exhibitors confirmed at the exhibition include Robert Allen, Jason D’Souza, Harem, Wardé, Rivoli Silks, and Silk Dynasty to name a few. The four-day event will showcase the latest trends and innovation across fabrics and textiles, designer rugs, soft furnishings, window and wall coverings.
