German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has launched its first Middle Eastern concept store in Doha, Qatar.
Located in the Lagoon mall, the store offers ready-to-wear attire and accessories.
“As we continue to develop our business on a global scale, the Middle East remains a central area of focus,” said Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld.
“Our new Doha store represents an ideal opportunity for us to showcase our iconic, cool and accessible luxe collections and represents an important step in, while further elevating and expanding our brand’s presence in the region,” he added.
In terms of its design, the shop houses multiple iPads and a large screen that debuts the brand’s new collections.
Its interior, which was selected by Lagerfeld, has a black and white colour theme with modern furnishings.
The store’s opening day revealed the designer’s collection in collaboration with cartoon artist Tiffany Cooper.
Also shown at the shop was Lagerfeld’s false lashes and nails collection, in collaboration with Japanese cosmetics brand Shu Uemera.
At the store’s opening event, guests were treated to Shu Uemera interactive stations and limited edition Shupette collection of eyelashes and nail sticker, inspired by Lagerfeld’s Choupette line.
Besides his brand, Lagerfeld is the head designer and creative director of fashion houses Chanel and Fendi.
