KVB Design has completed a showroom for Archimedia audio-visual and automation distributors in Casablanca, Morocco with local contractors Revet Systems and Spratley Architects in the UK.
The team managed the whole process from design to working with the local agents to create the style and regional influence of the showroom.
“KVB Design met the challenge of giving us a selling tool that is the first of its kind in Morocco,” said Ali Boukili, owner, Archimedia Casablanca.
“The audio-video industry has for many years been challenged by ways to present increasingly sophisticated technology in a manner which is not only understood by the customer but also relevant to their lifestyle.
“Many customers arrive expecting to see high-end systems but by the time they leave they understand the full product offer and how it could be integrated into their home.”
he architectural features of the venue include full height vertical facade and suspended mezzanine, with the showroom divided into a number of zones.
The ground floor has four presentation zones, which display multiple systems including automated lighting and drapes control, drop down cinema screens, ‘hidden’ TV screens and audio systems controlled via a single control panel.
The centre of the ground floor has a consultation area where clients can discuss the process and options of a home installation.
The first floor has a theatre, where home entertainment systems can be demonstrated, designed by interior designers Leila Lamrani and Meryem Lahou of SML 3L to reflect the local taste.
KVB chose polished ceramic floors and white leather panels to create a luxurious look and feel taking into consideration a space which will reflect an effective acoustic environment.
“We have worked with KVB Design for a number of years and they have consistently exceeded our expectations in delivering retail concepts and showroom designs that ultimately represent the image of our business. And support our business growth.” Said Omar Hikal, CEO, Archimedia Middle East.
KVB Design has been central to Archimedia’s retail development since its initial 2008 project in Dubai and the opening of several more showrooms in Cairo and Riyadh.
