Lasvit to unveil kinetic Supernova structure in Milan

Supernova

During this year’s Euroluce in Milan, Czech firm Lasvit will be unveiling its Temple of Light showcase that displays distinct designs united by the mastery of glass production.

The firm will be presenting its latest kinetic glass installation Supernova as well as collaborative collections by world renowned artists and designers, including the Campana Brothers and Maarten Baas, among others.

Lasvit’s latest lighting structure is Supernova- an interactive glass kinetic light that transforms itself in time and space by responding to the viewers movements by changing its form.

Designed by Petra Krausova, the installation is made up of clear glass with linear textures that creates unique lighting patterns while moving through various angles.

Its overall shape is a homage to last year’s kinetic structure Alice. Much like Alice, Supernova invites viewers to look beyond the glass and see the beauty that comes alive from the movement and refraction of the light.
