Lotus Park set to blossom in Chinese cultural district

Australian architecture firm Studio 505 has designed a series of cultural projects in China’s Jiangsu Province, including a conference centre that resembles a lotus flower.

Unveiled on architecture website ArchDaily, the building is part of the 3.5 hectare Lotus Park in Wujin, which will be occupied throughout the year with festivals and functions.

The park also includes the W Gallery, a new museum of contemporary art, as well as entertainment venues and restaurants.

Set on an existing artificial lake, the striking conference centre shows the three stages of the lotus flower and houses exhibition spaces and conference rooms.
