LRED invites master plan bids for Dubai South residential project

Dubai-headquartered Lootah Real Estate Development (LRED) has invited bids to develop the master plan of a residential project it will implement in Dubai South.

Being carried out through a joint venture (JV) agreement with Dubai South, the 11ha development will be situated with Dubai South’s Residential District.

The Residential District is expected to comprise 10,000 homes across villa, townhouse, and apartment units by 2020, housing up to 35,000 residents.

Schools, nurseries, hospitals, retail stores, food and beverage outlets, a sports centre, and a swimming academy will also be developed within the residential hub.

Innovation, luxury, and affordability will be the key points of focus for LRED and Dubai South’s project.

Commenting on the development, Saleh Abdullah Lootah, the executive director of LRED, said: “We are expecting to see inventive planning and design that reflects our culture of excellence and commitment to build innovative world-class communities.

“The assigned company will be responsible for the visioning, strategic planning, urban design frameworks, design guidelines, and innovative solutions that respond to the specific conditions of the project.”

The project will be delivered in phases to meet customer demand and accommodate market changes, it was revealed.
