Rotana Hotel Group has picked up six awards at the International Hotel Awards – Arabia 2011 including the Centro Barsha Dubai, which was designed by lwdesign group.
The hotel opened in June last year and the design firm created an interiors to suit a ‘new generation of hotel guest’, a chic boutique hotel, with a cutting-edge urban design, all within the margins of a three star property.
“Both Rotana and LWD are very happy that Centro has been recognised for its hotel interiors,” said Jesper Godsk, creative partner lwdesign group.
“Being part of creating a new boutique hotel brand for the experience but budget-conscience traveller, has been very exciting and the feedback we have received is extremely positive.
“We have now opened four hotels in the UAE and have eight more to come throughout the Middle East and with the interest from investors, there will be more to come.”
Godsk added that the concept of Rotana working with LWD Architects and LWD Interiors as one team is an advantage for the brand, ensuring optimum support across all its divisions.
The brainchild of Rotana Hotel Group, the Centro three star hotel chain is part of a roll-out scheme that will see properties open in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Oman and Syria, with the first hotel already open in Yas Island.
