Masterplan for Sharjah project includes six mosques


Real estate firm Tilal Properties has dedicated land for building six community mosques as part of a development in Sharjah.

The places of worship in Tiulal City t will have a total capacity of 4,100 people, according to the masterplan

The development is set to become the first-of-its-kind mixed-use community in Sharjah. Comprising 1,855 land plots, the new community offers the opportunity to UAE residents, as well as GCC nationals, to buy or lease land and develop properties.


The mosques will be built in consultation with the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs and – the Sharjah Awqaf General Trust, the pioneering institution promoting, operating and investing trust funds.

Haysam Jazairi, business development executivedDirector at Tilal Properties, said: “Tilal City has been designed and planned for the development of sustainable communities. Spiritual and religious enrichment is crucial to a holistic lifestyle. Tilal City, therefore, includes adequate prayer facilities for the community.

“The mosques will also include dedicated praying areas for women. Those wishing to contribute towards the construction of the mosques are invited to contact us or the relevant authorities that oversee the construction of mosques in Sharjah – the Department of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf General Trust.”
