J. Mayer H designs temporary museum from scaffold

Scaffolding building

An exhibition space made from scaffold, designed by J. Mayer H, will act as a temporary exhibition for Munich’s Pinakothek der Moderne.

The Schaustelle or ‘show site’ will house the museum’s four collections while renovations take place from February to September 2013.

The scaffold structure allows visitors to walk through while catching glimpses of the city, surrounded by the various collections.

Its ground floor contains a large space that can be adapted to suit exhibition requirements.

German architect J. Mayer H was the designer of Seville’s Metropol Parasol, a huge wooden structure that snakes through the heart of the city.
