Developer Nakheel has said that it has completed almost 760 villas at its Al Furjan residential community in Dubai – 95% of the total.
The company said that all landscaping works, walkways and more than 30 park areas have also completed, with 61 villas remaining due for delivery. These will be completed by the end of May.
The development, which is off Sheikh Zayed Road and close to both Ibn Battuta Mall and Discovery Gardens, contains a total of 819 residential units. Half of these are terraced houses and the remainder are three, five and six-bed villas.
Nakheel chairman Ali Rashid Lootah said: “Al Furjan, meaning ‘collection of homes’ or ‘small villages’ is designed to create a friendly, community environment among residents.
“Homes are built in small clusters connected by a series of walkways and parks. All 819 homes have a garden with low-level fencing, bringing an air of openness and a sense of communal outdoor living to the Al Furjan community.”
The centrepiece of the development, Masakin Al Furjan, was completed in 2011. It has 335 apartments, a convenience store, cafe and a leisure club with a pool and a gym.
