Doha-based La Cigale Hotel has won “Qatar’s Leading Hotel” trophy at the World Travel Awards at Jebel Ali Resort & Spa in Dubai.
The opulent hotel has won this award for the second time since 2010.
Aimed at both business and leisure travellers, the 20-story façade is a simple exterior that contrasts with its stylish interior.
The interiors include a tableaux by Carlos Cruiz-Diez, Edra Tatlin sofas infused with Swarovski crystals, Murano chandeliers, custom-made seats by Poltrona Frau and crystal Baccarat tables designed by Philippe Starck.
It features 225 guestrooms, with 40-inch LCD televisions with RetroVue feature, wireless and wired Internet access, a dedicated Pillow Menu with 15 types of pillows, goose-down duvet, mattress and heavenly pad.
The hotel has a range of dining options, along with health facilities that include a 20-metre daylight indoor swimming pool, a 490-square metre gymnasium, and a deluxe spa with six treatment rooms, a duo room and Moroccan bath facilities.
