Pakistan Institute of Interior Designers (PIID) organised an exhibition at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts recently.
It featured works of the institute’s members, furniture designers and interior professionals amid other trade-specific attractions, such as seminars, profession-specific discussions and industry networking.
Architecture and design firms that took part included Impact Designs International, Kamran Sheikh, Architects Inc, ASA and Najmi Bilgrami, The Express Tribune reported.
“We need more innovation in the corporate sector for design. People need to understand that designed and conceptualised rooms and interiors last longer so the initial investment pays off in the long run,” said Usman Khan, general secretary, PIID.
Another organiser said, “The exhibition is meant to acknowledge the efforts of hard-working interior professionals and reinstate the public’s trust and attention to the importance of the quality of our built environment.”
The exhibition was attended by members of Pakistan’s interior architecture and design community, architects, interior designers, furniture designers, high profile industrial professionals, opinion leaders and artists from across Pakistan.
