Second prize unveiled for market square in Morocco

The second prize for the market square competition for Casablanca, Morocco designed by [AC-CA], was awarded to PMG Architects for its design that reveals itself gradually by using a variety of architectural elements.

Beneath the air and luminous arched galleries, the architects tried to grasp the many riches of the place with its vibrant fragrances and colours.

The roof structure is made up of wooden grid with a PVC polyester fabric membrane and a vertical structure that has square wooden poles fixed in between them with metal brackets, which are also attached to a series of bigger wooden pillars that descend the load of the whole structure to the floor.
