The Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) in partnership with Green Technologies, a USGBC education delivery partner, will host a USGBC LEED workshop in June.
The USGBC Faculty led workshop will be conducted by Mario Seneviratne, a USGBC faculty member and LEED mentor. At the end of the workshop, participants will get a certificate of completion from USGBC and will be eligible to do the LEED Green Associate Exam.
The workshop course provides knowledge of sustainable building concepts fundamental to all LEED rating systems. The course will feature interactive activities based on real LEED projects.
This workshop is intended for anyone who wants more than a basic understanding of LEED – including those with a stake in their company’s or community’s building practices, those directly involved in green building projects, and those pursuing GBCI’s LEED Green Associate credentials.
It will cover the benefits and integrative approach to green building, and a brief background on the US Green Building Council and LEED, including basics of the building certification process.
Participants do not need to have any prior knowledge to attend the workshop.
The workshop titled, LEED Course: 201: LEED Core Concepts and Strategies, will take place on June 14, 2011.
QGBC members can avail of a discount to attend the session and spaces must be booked by May 29, 2011 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
