RAK Ceramics has been named once again as the world’s largest ceramic tile manufacturer by the Ceramic World Review.
The magazine focuses on ceramic tile and bathware production technologies, and RAK Ceramics ranks first among the 25 biggest ceramic tile manufacturers of 2010 after raising its production output to 117 million square metres from 115 million square metres in 2009.

“More importantly, we are proud to have further increased our total production output, which is a strong affirmation of the robust growth performance of the RAK Ceramics brand worldwide.
“It is our commitment to continue to explore new growth opportunities and to introduce more innovative products and value-added services as we aim to maintain our stronghold in the global ceramic tile market,” he added.
It also maintained its place among the top four tile manufacturers in terms of value with a total turnover of 613 million Euros in 2010.
In the Ceramic World Review’s list of the world’s top bathware tile manufacturers, the firm ranks 13th with a total production output of 4.3 million square metres in 2010.
RAK Ceramics employs over 8,500 people in the UAE and 15,000 people worldwide and currently has 10 factories in the UAE as well as production facilities in Bangladesh, Sudan, China, India and Iran. It exports up to 85% of its production output to more than 150 countries.
