An architect has been selected for the long-delayed performing arts theatre at the World Trade Center site in New York.
Brooklyn-based firm REX will lead the $10 million project, which is expected to open in 2019. The design is expected to be unveiled in the spring.
REX is led by Joshua Prince-Ramus. He is currently working on the $200 million overhaul of 5 Manhattan West near the Hudson Yards development. Past projects include the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in Dallas and the Seattle Central Library.
