Global architecture and engineering firm RSP Architects, Planners and Engineers picked up the prize for Large Architecture Firm of the Year at the Middle East Architect Awards 2014.
This award recognised the firm with more than 100 employees that has made the most significant impact of the GCC region through its work in 2014.
The panel of judges said they were won over by the “attention to detail and the overall quality of the portfolio of work” from RSP Architects, Planners and Engineers.
Ralf Steinhauer, project director, RSP picked up the award on the event night.
He said: “I think it’s something that we worked really hard for for the last five years before setting up our office here. We are headquartered in Singapore. We are a large company, we have 1,300 professionals worldwide with about 60 here in Dubai. I think we worked really hard to get where we are here right now.
“It shows how hard we worked and I think it goes out to everyone who works for us,” he added.
Steinhauer concluded: “I think that our clients will recognise us as well because they are associated with us and chose us to do their fantastic projects. And I think the award goes to them as well because they are working with us in this region, and I am very grateful to be here. Winning this award will definitely be part of our journey toward more success.”
Highly commended for this category was Tangram Architects and Designers “for continuing to push boundaries with fresh and exciting ideas across the region, which have sustainability at their core”.
