RW Armstrong starts work on acclaimed projects

RW Armstrong has started construction on projects including the UAE Presidential Palace and the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.

Since establishing its regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi in 2006, RW Armstrong has added a list of high-profile and award-winning projects to its portfolio.

These projects include: the UAE Presidential Palace which is currently under construction; Sorouh Sun & Sky Towers on Al Reem Island which was completed in 2011,; the new Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority headquarters designed to achieve 2 Pearls Estidama; Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club currently under construction; and, Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, which is nominated for the 2012 Cityscape Award for “Best Sustainable Development”.

A few of the firm’s latest projects include the infrastructure design and supervision for the Truck Road Project from Ras Al Khaimah ring road to Al Madam, Dubai and the new ACE Hardware store next to IKEA on Yas Island which is now completing construction.

In 2012, RW Armstrong was awarded Architect of Record for the Aldar Zone K- Garden Crescent- Residential & Non Residential on Yas Island, an Emirati housing community; and the architectural design and supervision of construction of Halat Amar Port for passengers, the border station between Jordan and Saudi Arabia with the Ministry of Finance.

The firm will participate at Cityscape Abu Dhabi to showcase these and more of the firm’s latest projects. RW Armstrong’s senior team will be present to discuss its services, project experience and Estidama sustainability rating system.

Cityscape Abu Dhabi will take place between April 22-25, 2012 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
