Pritzker Prize winner Shigeru Ban has designed a pen for Acme Studio that doubles as an architect’s ruler.

The three-sided retractable and refillable pen is made from aluminium, and features a laser-etched ruler on each of its three sides.

An architect’s ruler – or scale ruler – is used to determine distances on a scaled drawing.

The  pen currently sells for $90 and comes in a magnetic case.
