Sky gardens feature of Abu Dhabi high rise

Reem Island

Cut outs in the building design to accommodate sky gardens are a feature of the latest residential development on Abu Dhabi’s Reem Island.

The 35 story tower comprises of more than 280 apartments is by KEO International Consultant for Wafra Real Estate

Design director, Raj Patel, called it: “A creative planning response given the unique challenge of the neighboring plot to the west which posed to block all views and infringe upon privacy of the apartments that would face it.”

The solution was to create an ‘L’ shape tower plate divided into two wings. Each wing is served with its own dedicated core and single loaded corridor to ensure all of the apartments command unobstructed superior views to the north, east, and south.
