Spaceworks wins inaugural Fly Forbo Award

Spaceworks wins inaugural Fly Forbo Award.

Spaceworks has won the inaugural Fly Forbo Award by using Forbo Marmoleum flooring in Hansell’s Food Group head office in Auckland, New Zealand.

The prize includes flights, accommodation, and access to 100% Design tradeshow in London and a stop at the Forbo design studios in Holland.

The judges said the design represents quality and tradition with modern values. Forbo Marmoleum stripes, both in pattern and colour, allude to kitchen floor designs of the 1960’s.

The sophisticated, linear design is repeated in the lacquer finish batten ceiling. Marmoleum continues in solid red across the adjacent area and up the walls, saturating this area in Hansell’s corporate colour.

“Judges were unanimous – Spaceworks has made great use of Marmoleum to successfully achieve a big message for its client,” said Wayne Donovan, managing director, Forbo Flooring Systems Australasia.

Spaceworks, specialist in commercial and retail fit outs, is renowned for its creative flair and fresh ideas.

Elizabeth Hines, Spaceworks, managing director and senior designer accepted the award.
