Spanish firms gain from KSA’s $2.16bn ID industry

Ten Spanish firms will take advantage of the booming interior design industry in Saudi Arabia at INDEX KSA 2012.

According to research carried out by Ventures Middle East, interior spends in Saudi Arabia surpassed $2.16 billion in 2011, while  sales of residential furniture are estimated to increase up to $2.5 billion by the end of 2015.

The aim of the Spanish companies is to use the platform to interact with interior designers, specifiers, local importers and distributors, and increase its contact base.

The exhibitors include: Bretón, Colección Alexandra, Epoca International, Estilo Decorarcher, Fontini, Genoveva, Moblesa – Gran Moblesa, Soher and Virtus.

With 34% of all Saudi developments taking place in Jeddah, an annual economic growth of 6.8%, and investments in hospitality, retail and commercial projects increasing, the demand for interior design and its products is looking positive.

INDEX KSA 2012 will take place from May 29-31, 2012 at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events.
