The organisers of The Office Exhibition partnered with the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and held the first Design Executive Roundtable event for local design professionals at the event.
Following positive feedback from participants, the first Dubai Design Summit will be held in January 2012.
The event consists of a two-day convention for designers, architects, product manufacturers, CEO’s, executives, directors, HR managers and the entire business community.
The organisers have also said visitor numbers to the 10th edition of the Office Exhibition, from May 17-19, was up by 62%.
It attracted visitors from the USA, Spain, Italy, Turkey, India, Pakistan, UK, GCC and North Africa.
“Around 20 per cent of our projects in the region come directly from The Office Exhibition. It is a very important business platform for us,” said Scott Savage, regional director for HNI Corporation in Europe, The Middle East and Africa.
Many visitors and exhibitors reported an improvement in business opportunities they found during the event, following a slowdown in the market in previous years.
“Rockworth has been exhibiting at The Office Exhibition for the last five years and we agree that this is the best industry show in the Middle East. The show has helped us to develop contacts and we are very happy with the results,” said Pichanee Chaisingharn, Brand Manager, Rockworth, Thailand.
“The show’s 10th anniversary was celebrated with phenomenal appreciation from exhibitors and visitors. We are delighted to see there is global interest in the regional office fit-out market,” said David Wilson, event director, The Office Exhibition.
We look forward to presenting an even more exciting roster of features and inspiring workplace ideas next year,” he added.
The Office Exhibition will return next year from May 15-17, 2012.
