Successful night for Objects of Desire II

Commercial Interior Design celebrated the launch of its Objects of Desire Volume II at a party at the Ayyam Gallery, Al Quoz, last night.

More than 150 people including interior designers, architects and suppliers attended the event in Dubai.

The purpose of the book was to promote products the editorial team had picked out from the year, from tradeshows such as Salone del Mobile in Milan, Design Days Dubai and INDEX and to display them in a glossy hard-back similar to a high-end directory.

“It was a great night celebrating the book launch and we were happy to see so many familiar faces in the crowd as well as making new contacts across the industry,” said Jenny Eagle, editor, Commercial Interior Design.

“This book is purely for interior designers in the UAE and GCC who don’t get a chance to visit all the furniture shows around the world. There isn’t anything like it in Dubai and there isn’t a similar event of this kind for people to socialise within the industry.”

Sponsors of the book exhibiting their products on the night for guests to see were; Nakkash Gallery, Roca, Larsa Lighting, Voglia, Preciosa and Bang & Olufsen.

Everyone who attended got to take home a free copy of the book and Gaia Migliorini, co-founder, M&G Bijoux, won a wireless, portable speaker from Bang & Olufsen.
