Tallest tower in Sri Lanka to be built as tribute to 1996 World Cup Cricket Team

Sri Lanka is set to construct the country’s tallest tower in honour of Arjuna Ranatunga’s Cricket team, which won the World Cup in 1996.

With $330 million invested by Sri Lanka’s Board of Investment, the 96 floor building will stand at 363 metres in height.

The ‘1996 Iconic Tower’ will be designed by ARK Studio West | Architect Reza Kabul, who will be creating a mixed-use development with 376 residential apartments, 92 penthouses, and amenities such as pool, gymnasium, spa, and outdoor sky decks.

The project is predicted to take four years to complete.
