Top sports architects confirmed for CW Qatar conference
Two of the biggest names in sports design, Dan Meis and Christopher Lee, have been confirmed to speak at the upcoming Construction Week Qatar conference.
Dan Meis (right) is the head of a new worldwide division of Australian architecture practice Woods Bagot which focuses on sports projects.
Meis was formerly senior principal with Populous and designer behind one of the stadiums for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
As global director of sport, Meis is in the process of expanding a Los Angeles-based team which will include design and technical experts in New York, London and Sydney.
Christopher Lee (left), is senior principal for Populous and designed over 30 stadia on five continents.
These include the main stadium for the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000, Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, and the Emirates Stadium for Arsenal Football Club.
The Construction Week Qatar Conference Qatar will be held at Grand Hyatt, Doha on April 9, 2013.
