Towers with floral facades planned for Casablanca

Architecture studio Maison Edouard Francois has revealed a masterplan for a mixed-use neighborhood for Casablanca in Morocco entitled the “The Gardens of Anfa”.

Scheduled for completion by 2017, the development features three mid-rise residential towers, a low-rise office tower as well as a series of residential blocks that are connected by a central piazza and concealed within a lush, colourful landscape.

Each tower is “organically-shaped” and enhanced by a trellised façade that stimulates the growth of flowers such as bougainvilleas and jasmine which further camouflages the structure while “demarcating the limits of a garden.”
