Tributes have been paid to an award-winning architect who died following a car crash in the north of England at the age of 52.
Warren Barnett died after a collision while driving through Humshaugh Village in Northuumberland .
Now close family and friends have paid tributes to Barnett, who was a partner at Newcastle-based Squires Barnett Architects, describing him as a true professional and “the architect of the people”.
His sister and business partner, fellow architect Louise Squires, said: “The world has lost a great man, we are all absolutely devastated by his passing.
“Warren was my best friend and brother and I loved him dearly.
“We worked together, shared our lives together from the beginning to the end and it is difficult to accept that he has now gone.
“However he was always optimistic and would sincerely want us to carry on and continue to fly the ‘Squires Barnett’ flag in his name in pursuit of great architecture and passion to succeed.”
