The real estate industry is seeing $689 billion of building projects in the planning and design stage in the GCC, with the UAE representing more than 20% of the total figure.
Cityscape Global will host international exhibitors, as well as those based locally and regionally, and promote the Middle East market to foreign investors.
The exhibition will feature the region’s leading real estate developers, such as Emaar Properties, Nakheel, Dubai Properties Group, Union Properties, DAMAC Properties and Meraas Development.
Overseas participation includes the Agricultural Property Agency (Poland), Crown Acquisitions (UK), Novacasa Valencia (Spain), IP Global (Hong Kong) and Fragrant Property (Thailand); architects including RTKL (UK), Tabanlioglu Architects (Turkey) and yoo (UK); along with government representation from the Ivanovo Region of the Russian Federation.
“CBRE research indicates that there is an increasing level of international business interest in the MENA region. For those organisations entering the Middle East for the first time, Dubai, because of the quality of its infrastructure and accommodation, is clearly the most popular location and therefore Cityscape’s new global positioning can help accelerate access to the region,” said Nicholas Maclean, managing director, CB Richard Ellis Middle East.
Ahmad Al Matrooshi, managing director – UAE, Emaar Properties, said: “The focus of the UAE government to further strengthen the real estate investment environment in the country and the nation’s reputation as one of the most competitive and stable economies have energised the property sector.”
Cityscape Global will bring together international companies that are interested in accessing and investing in the Middle East real-estate market.
“We see Cityscape being an ideal forum to show potential clients in the Middle East how we offer branded design and marketing services to assist in enhancing the value of real estate projects,” said Chris Boulton, CEO, yoo.
The tenth Cityscape Global will take place during September 27-29, 2011, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
