Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, a leading company that provides security and safety solutions, has recently created a website that will equip designers and architects with the tools they need to further education and seek readily available assistance.
Providing architects access to The American Institute of Architects (AIA) online courses, the website also offers information concerning green initiatives, links to code and compliance agencies, and product selection guides, among other helpful resources.
Designers are equally provided for and can also readily access AIA courses, specification (spec) writing, code consulting and product selection.
John Diedam, Vice President of International Sales at Ingersoll explains: “This website was designed solely for the use of architects. Whether the search is addressing NFPA codes, UL codes, fire life safety, continuing education or a general chat with other professionals, this website offers the architect a consolidated place to find the resources and consulting services they need to specify door hardware.
“We also offer virtual training on our site to help the architect learn about door hardware products, applications and codes.”
The website is structured to assist the needs of different learning types, providing helpful information in various ways.
Aside from the case studies and articles targeting architects, the website provides an interactive platform where architects can ask questions through the iDigHardware blog, network and learn from other professionals.
The online virtual courses are likely to run for as long as they are relevant, explains Diedam. “We continually develop new courses based on new technologies and solutions, changing codes and market trends,” he says.
Constant requests from architects drove Ingersoll Rand to create the online source.
Diedam explains: “We wanted to provide a place that architects could go to find security solutions or easily contact us for help with their specifications.”
