Wilson Associates recognises excellence in design

Wilson Associates, an international interior architectural design firm, which has offices in Abu Dhabi, held its 14th annual Point of Excellence Awards Luncheon in California recently.

The event is held each year to honour excellence in service in the design industry.

Two hundred people attended this year’s event, which recognises vendors and service providers in the design industry who provide exemplary service and perform above and beyond expectations.

This year the two Point of Excellence awards were presented to Marichu Celis of Marichu Celis, Inc. and Geoff Wallace of Design Alliance Los Angeles.

All proceeds from the Point of Excellence Awards Luncheon go towards The Wilson Foundation, a not for profit organisation founded in 1997 by Wilson Associates President & CEO, Trisha Wilson.

“Giving back is part of the corporate culture at Wilson Associates. It’s who we are as a company,” she said.

“We believe that no matter the state of the economy, we have a responsibility to give back to others, and we will stay the course. It has been hard these past few years because our entire industry has felt the effects of the economic downturn, but just as we have maintained our commitment to the foundation, I am also very grateful for all the vendors and service providers in our industry who have continued to support us through these challenging times.”

The Wilson Foundation directs much of its support to nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) in South Africa that support education, healthcare services and programmes for at-risk children.
