A development containing two Kempinski hotels, designed by Woods Bagot, is days away from opening in the Bahrain capital of Manama.

Developed by Majid Al Futtaim and located in Bahrain City Centre, the project includes the five star Kempinski Grand and the four star Kempinski Ixir.

Duncan Parkinson, principal, Woods Bagot, added: “This project has been a challenging yet rewarding endeavour for all involved. It’s been five years since its inception in 2006 and it’s exciting to know that the first guests will soon be enjoying the new Kempinksi hotel offering in early September.”

Key features of the hotel complex include a hammam spa in addition to several restaurants, meeting room facilities and suites. The hotels share the 4,000m2 back of house areas.

The new development adjoins another Woods Bagot project, Bahrain City Centre, which is the country’s largest  mall.
