Work starts on Broadway Malyan’s Philippines tower

Milano Residences

Milano Residences, a high-end residential project designed by Broadway Malyan, is now under construction in Manila, The Philippines.

Developed by Century Properties, the 53-storey tower will be one of many high rises within the masterplan of Century City, with completion scheduled for 2015.

Prof. Jason Pomeroy, director at Broadway Malyan, said: “The scheme demonstrates the emerging trend of luxury branded condominium living in Asia, with hospitality-type boutique facilities and concierge services set to become regular features of high-end residential developments in the region, and the increasing role of luxury brands in the added lifestyle value of such developments.”

With public space interiors by Versace Home, the tower will contain 340 one to three bedrooms apartments, as well as penthouses, town houses and Italian-inspired ‘loggia’ lofts that feature private plunge pools and skygardens.

Passive design elements include narrow floor plates and high ceilings to optimise natural light natural ventilation.

The design includes a green roof and densely foliated vertical open spaces to collect excess rainwater, irrigate planting and reduce ambient temperatures.

Materials have been selected  for their environmental credentials as well as aesthetics.
