Work starts on Turkey’s Crocodile Stadium

Crocodile Stadium

Construction has started on the 45,000-seat Timsah Stadium, which translates as Crocodile Stadium, in the city of Bursa in northwest Turkey.

The distinctly reptilian building will be the new home of Bursaspor football club, nicknamed the Green Crocodiles, which plays in the country’s top division.

The 150,000m2 scheme is backed by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and designed by local practice Sozuneri Architects.
