An artist from the Canadian University of Dubai has created the world’s largest depiction of the late Sheik Zayed from a canvas made out of sand.
The piece was created by Sylvain Tremblay, at Liwa Art Hub, Abu Dhabi. The 12m x 10m picture is displayed on an 80m high sand dune
“I feel very honoured to have been able to do this and I am delighted with the result,” said Tremblay. “The wind made it tough and I had to finish a lot quicker than expected, but I had so many supporters and students and they helped me finish it.”
