Princess Tower in Dubai Marina is now the tallest residential building in the world at 414m, following the completion of its dome and decorative mast.
The tower by developer Tameer is in its final stages and is expected to be handed over in the second quarter of this year.
Commenting on the completion of the dome and mast structure, Federico Tauber, president of Tameer said: “In a city of skyscrapers it is still an extremely satisfying feeling to have completed yet another record-breaking project.”
Princess Tower houses 763 luxury apartments in its 107 storeys. The dome and decorative mast, made of aluminium and steel, weight a total of 110 tonnes.
It forms part of the tallest city block in the world, which also contains SOM’s twisted Infinity Tower and the 90-storey 23 Marina.
