Zaha Hadid Architects confirms that it is currently modifying its design for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Stadium.
The firm is revisiting the competition-winning design after budget changes and persistent criticism from the Japanese public who recently held a 500-person street protest.
Famed Japanese architects like Toyo Ito, Kengo Kuma and Sou Fujimoto criticised the design saying it was too big in relation to its existing environment.
ZHA says its new design will be more refined than the original for the 80,000 seat stadium.
