World’s tallest tower to break ground in June

The world’s tallest tower, Sky City, is scheduled to begin construction work next month.

Located in Changsha, China, the building was initially announced to be built within 90 days but is now planned for completion within seven months.

This will be done by prefabricating the building-floor slabs with built-in pipes and wires . These will then be connected once modules are in place, allowing  buildings to go up much faster.

Construction of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world’s current tallest building, took approximately six years to complete.

Sky City is expected to stand at 2,749 feet, 30 feet higher than the Burj Khalifa.
